Justificationfor selecting C-5

C-5 is the best aircraftavailable since it charges affordable transport costs and isconvenient. Also, it is the largest plane within the company whichmakes it to provide reliable and efficient services. It has anenormous cargo capacity which is capable of carrying heavy weights ofup to 118,387kg. It has four broad wings and all have engines mountedunder them. The other reason for selecting the aircraft is because ofits fuel consumption which is reduced by 25 percent due to theimproved standards. Compared with an average plane, the enginedelivers an increase in thrust by more than 22 percent of the normalratio. It has a modern cockpit with a digital flight control unit andautopilot (Schmitt&amp Gollnick, 2016).

Additionally, there is a newsuite of communication and enhanced navigation equipment that isinstalled in it to make its operation easier. The flight controlsystem has some protection integrated, which helps the pilot indangerous scenarios and keep the aircraft free from flight problemssuch as attainment of critical low speed or high velocity. The systemis also enhanced with the ability to inform the pilot about flightconditions of the aircraft. The C-5 is economically, structurally, and operationally guaranteed for the next several years. It has manyimprovements that helps meet the current management requirements ofair traffic and compatibility of the system for future growth. It issuperior to the An-124 aircraft which was rolled out 14 years ago(Heyman,2013).

There are many reasons as towhy the organization has chosen C-5 over many other aircrafts. It hashigh pressure and the kneeling system is more advanced which makesloading easier and reliable. This is also a contributing factor toin-flight comfort. It can land and takeoff on all runways, thereforemore preferable to other aircrafts like C-17(Heyman, 2015). The longservice life will help the company to save lots of money.
